Girls Day Out

I woke up extremely early this morning due to the heat, just after 4.00 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep. I decided not to waste the beautiful, sunny day and thought I'd go to good old Southend-on-Sea on the train. I had a boiling, melting walk along the 'prom' and kept on walking past Thorpe Bay and up to Shoeburyness and back. It was so hot that I felt like my sunglasses were melting into my face!

I walked along the pier (the longest pier in the world I believe) and back hoping for a bit of a breeze but it was incredibly warm. A lovely day..glad I woke up early!
