The View From My Chair

Four fat blackbird chicks ( you can just see the fourth behind the left hand one - or count feet) sitting by the apple, waiting for mum or dad to come and feed them. It just doesn't occur to them that they could turn around and peck the apple themselves. Thank heavens this stage doesn't last long because mum and dad are looking rather frazzled - they don't get much time to feed themselves without a chick or two rocking on up for some too.
