Tea, cake and christmas presents!

Have had a lovely lovely day today :O) I met up with my best mate and we went to the gorgeous Storehouse cafe near where my parents live for some of their amazing cake - my mouth is watering again just thinking about it! We had the chocolate and beetroot cake - I know this sounds weird but its incredible. You don't taste the beetroot but it must give it a tastey moistness and brings out the choc flavour even more. It has thick dark choc icing on top and the most scrumptious cheesy buttercream filling. Drool......
Unfortunately we'd eaten it all before I remembered it was going to be my blip today! Ooops!

(To my sister - don't worry I know this isn't weight watchers friendly, but I saved up my points for it!)

Anyway, it was just so great to see Maggie. I've been much more excited about that than christmas coming! We've been best friends for years and shared a flat in the Burger for 4 years, up until recently. Mags is off to stay with her sister in Oz for a year come feb, so she needed to move out of our place and into her folks to try and save enough money for the trip. Its been rubbish not having her there anymore and I miss her terribly - I feel like I've lost a limb or something! But she hasn't left the country yet and her parents live very close to mine so we still meet up for big goss and silliness sessions lots :O)

Today we exchanged christmas pressies - we had a £5 limit this year and it became like a competition to see who could buy the most crap for a fiver. It was too close to call!
