North Yorkshire Moors - August.
Another glorious day to defy the weathermen. Leisurely start to the day before shopping at the market in the morning. Numerous cats turned up to be fed and one patient dog. Hen duty takes up some of the time, (come on girls, let's have a few more eggs!)
Went on to the mmors in the afternoon with Bracken. It looked very much like rain but rain never materialised. Very hot and humid though. The moors are looking good now, the heather seems to be at the peak of flowering. Spotted this sheep skull lying amongst it and it seemed to symbolise the area well. Not that there are loads of dead sheep but there are lots of sheep around and not much else!
