Carn Brea Castle
It has been dry today but very dull.
I the U3A CC every fortnight we draw a subject out of a bag, these subjects come from members suggestion, we have two weeks to take one image of the set subject. The subject this time was Ancient Buildings. The nearest for me is Carn Brea Castle it is on top of a hill 738 feet above sea level, looking across Camborne and Redruth. It was built in the 14th century, a grade II listed granite stone building which was extensively remodelled in the 18th century as a hunting lodge in the style of a castle for the Basset family. The building is now private, use as a restaurant.
