Junior Parkrun, Whitley Bay

Today it was the kid's turn to do their first parkrun. It was the first ever running race for Dex and he was very excited at the start but when he ran past me after a kilometre or so he was alarmed to discover that he was sweating! Olivia, in her usual fun loving style, stroked dogs during the run, jumped up onto the wall and then ran back to wait for her little brother before out sprinting him at the finish! The best bit for them was the free ice-creams for all the kids at a local shop!

Later on we went to Blyth with the cousins to play in the fantastic playground and outdoor water park.
