Grand Celebrations

Tonight Mr J & I were invited by the Omani people in celebration of their National Day (officially tomorrow) i.e. the King's birthday

It was a great occasion to be a part of. We enjoyed great food & lots of live performances from different school kids through to these gentleman who danced to the sounds of the bagpipe & drums.

At a time when we in the west have become cynical in our leaders - it was interesting to observe a culture where the King is very much revered by his people.

To top of a wonderful evening we also witnessed a shooting star during our nightly star gazing.
