Promenade en bicyclette

As it is her birthday I promised NM a gentle cycle ride this morning. We set off along the canal (nice and flat) to the village of Grappenhall. As we approached the church bells started ringing and we were passed by a vintage car carrying the bridal party.

Most of the guests had gathered outside the neighbouring pub to await their arrival. We continued on our way, past the cricket club, where they were warming up for today's game. Then a stroll through the walled garden at Grappenhall Heys before freewheeling our way back home.
