A rare moment of motivation

Today has been mixed. Brilliant moments like having Andy's appraisal and getting to tell him how brilliant he is and rubbish moments of things just generally not going to plan. Brilliant moments of having a house viewing and knowing that my favourite house is back on the market and rubbish moments when the viewer probably isn't going to buy it. Brilliant moments like the joy of coming home for lunch and rubbish moments when you realise why cauliflower isn't the greatest soup ingredient. Brilliant moments catching up with sakalasafari on the phone and rubbish moments when skype keeps taking your money.

I've been really lacking in motivation for running lately (as in, not running at all). Working through the daylight hours means the best times to run are Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 4pm which are precisely the times that you really don't want to be running. Anyway, I had a rare moment of motivation this evening, probably due to all the calories that Nigel Slater keeps feeding me. And I knew town would be relatively safe with hundreds of families descending for the light switch on. I found a nice, street-lit 5km and I feel a hundred times better for it. And you can all feel better for seeing my sweaty face. You're welcome.
