Beautiful!

Always the brightest shrub in the garden at this time of year.  My wife bought this Acer for my birthday in North Yorkshire 30 years ago and the nursery owner told us it would never grow near the coast.  I'd just returned from two weeks business trip around Japan and had seen these bushes and trees everywhere and was determined to have one.

It has now had three homes near the coast and is so vigorous it has to be cut back every other year.
