My Visitors - meet my brilliant sister.

Here are my visitors. My sister an her chap are staying for a week. On Friday we went and tried out a new restaurant in Ed called te Gardeners Cottage. Was just great. They focus on a tiny menu beautifully cooked. Really healthy too. I had pea and ham soup followed by venison steak with pancetta and chanterelle mushrooms. I didn't have pudding but did try my hubby's cookies with rhubarb and they were delish. Washed down with a shared bottle of Riesling. Very likely afternoon.

Sister is working all weekend - she is a reflexologist and foot reader and trains other people to do the same. Weird job but she is very successful, is a regular on radio and sometimes tv and had written and self published 3 books. All now on multiple print runs and she has 2nd editions of 2 o them. She has also devised posters and crib cards that reflexologists can use. I am very proud of her - she is a real entrepreneur. Very creative and has taken something she loves doing and made a business that works.

Made me laugh recently. A very senior manager I worked with was saying he wanted to write a booked called Getting Things Done. Told me all about it and was interesting - I told him about Janie and her 3 books and as soon as he heard the topic he got all sneering about it. I asked him what his book was called again and then asked him how many books he has written and punished and sold over 5000 copies of!! Put him back in his place and he did realise the irony of it :-)

Janie is someone who has never sat about and thought if only - she just does it and has confidence it will turn out right in the end. And it always has.
