Farm Market

I like to shop at Holden Brothers Farm Market and have posted photos from here before.  The photo above is their sign on the main highway and the extra is a pile of long neck squash (do these become gourds?).  The sign is truthful in that I bought fresh picked tomatoes that were as good for dinner as any we had all summer.  I also bought western NC apples at a price much lower than grocery store prices.  I did not buy collards yet, as they are usually better after the first frost, and that hasn't happened here.  Soon, we will get collards and try to put some in the freezer.  They are so very good.
