Tractor Show

My dad and I went to the Mid-Michigan Antique Tractor Show today. Oakley, Mi. 52 miles from my house. Free tickets from our buddy Bob...a sheep farmer.

On our way we stopped at a house we used to live at in Owosso, Mi. Place is looking rough. Memories came back of riding my little sister's trike off the porch...hitting a softball through our yard into the neighbor's Cadillac...and the alley where we used to shoot hoops. He won't admit it...but it was in that alley that I first beat my dad in basketball. From then on...he had to start throwing more elbows.

I added some shots of our morning into my flickr account. Go and see some old tractors, some old buildings, and have a laugh at the horse drawn carriage. There is also a shot of Curwood Castle, the writing place of author James Oliver Curwood. One of his books...The Grizzly King was made into the movie...The Bear. A good movie without many humans in it.

That is my dad on the John Deere. He was 3 when this tractor was made. The tractor is a 1930 model. Little Jimmy Joe was born in 1927. Both are classics.
