Torver High Common

Day two of the Orienteering. A long journey in the car on forest roads to the car parking and a climb up to the start which can be seen here. The extra shows the view from the start towards Morcambe Bay.

I wasn't quite as mobile today after yesterday but still managed to get round my course although not very quickly! I love the challenge of navigating across open fell without paths and tracks to guide you in areas you probably would not access.

The biggest challenge was getting out of the forest but fortunately we were early finishes and decided to leave as soon as we could. Despite this it felt like rally driving as competitors cars had churned up the track. Very relieved to get back to the main road. After a quick pit stop to change and eat it was time to head for home.
