One day I’ll fly away…

…but today I only made it as far as the supermarket!

Since watching John Lewis’s latest Christmas ad, I’ve had Nicole Kidman’s hauntingly beautiful version of my title song stuck in my head. You can listen to it here.

With my love of languages and travel, I always wanted to be an air hostess when I was at school, in an age when the job was still a glamorous one. But then I found out that you had to be able to swim and deliver a baby! And as I don’t like water or blood that was the end of that!! Never mind, one day I will fly away…
