Sao Lourenco

Even a Madeiran Speckled Wood couldn't dislodge the fantastic scenery I've been treated to today.

This is the Sao Lourenco peninsula on the far eastern tip of Madeira. Arid landscape with huge erosion - desert like.

Later we went to the Laurasilva Forest in Ribeiro Frio. I want to go back. And finally to the Pico de Areiro, 1850m, where the butterflies were dive bombing and the petrils skimming around.

I so love this place.
