Aka Tonbo
Red dragonfly. These guys are so common in my town that there's even an old song about them written by a local resident many moons ago.
Too cold and wet today to be out flying and a little late in the year. Grounded in the middle of the road it soon crawled onto the tip of my daughter's umbrella when it was offered. Very soggy, sluggish and looking quite forlorn.
There are a couple more shots of it on Flickr. Which I find to be better in image quality than blip.
This leaves me free to shoot film this evening and drink a beer while the sister-in-law is visiting again.
