Monsoonal rain
We are here in Delhi in the second month of the monsoon. Apparently it has been very dry across the north of India and they face a drought in the coming months so this rain was a welcome sight, except that is is Monday and this is the night of the Monday market which can be found 10 minutes walk away in Monday Market Street. The rain finally stopped and we went, but it was torture, the smells and sights of beautiful food was too much. We have to have the food here at the clinic as it is specially prepared to help with our detox. A couple of people known to us had a burfi when they were here and got very sick. One quick reading of their pulse by the Dr told her immediately that our friends had eaten something from outside even as small as a burfi. The burfi wasn't contaminated or anything, just not part of the current regime. So at times I get cravings for lamb cutlets and red wine or in the case of the Monday Markets, a beautiful large roti made before our eyes into which was stuffed a beautiful array of vegetarian delights.
