Funky chickens...

...on our wrought-iron 'Dutch Crown' game/meat hanger. We now have two of these, both acquired quite cheaply in junk antique shops. This one is decorated with 'chickens', the other with 'pheasants'. This hangs inside our kitchen window and, in the winter, is decorated with coloured lights. No - not C******** decorations, just an attempt to make the room more cheerful to keep the blues at bay during the cold, dark months!

A bit sad to wave Tom off at the station this morning before going in to work - he's working over Christmas and New Year, so we probably won't meet up again until well in to the New Year. 'Twas a good weekend, though!

After another night of heavy rain, another day of very heavy showers, some prolonged, so it was 2km on the tread mill at lunchtime rather than spending the afternoon in soggy jeans again. Couldn't avoid the rain altogether though, and MrM and I got soaked as we walked around the Common this evening with Louie...
