Stormy weather
After heavy rain overnight, it was a day of squally, very heavy showers, so thoughts of going out walking were abandoned in favour of a trip to Bamburgh. We managed a short walk on the beach with Louie and almost got back to the car before the first shower got us! Soggy jeans for the afternoon, but our waterproof jackets kept the rest of us dry!
MrM and I have been to Bamburgh many times, but never before paid the admission fee to look round the castle. This time we did, and it was well worth it - so interesting that we spent much longer than anticipated looking round. And taking photos from the grounds. And enjoying lunch at the tea rooms.
By the time we left the castle (and Tom and I had taken one or two more photos...), it was too late to go to Barter Books in Alnwick as planned, so we went home for a short while before heading out again for a meal at the Tankerville Arms in Eglingham. Lovely! Back home to relax for the rest of the evening with another mad film - Absolutely Anything. And so to bed...
