Back A Bit

Not quite the classic Stourhead view- taken from just a bit further back to include the memorial / folly.

It was a wonderfully brisk morning and the colours were still looking fabulous (see extras).

After our bracing stroll we repaired to The Red Lion at Kilmington for a pub lunch.

I've been feeling a bit tender today: as part of our redecorating, we re-waxed the wooden stairs to our converted loft. I completely forgot Tess's warning that they were still a bit slippery when I went up to fetch something from the loft last night, my feet went from under me on the top step and I bounced from top to bottom on my back and elbows!

Nothing broken, just bruised back, elbows and pride. Don't think I'll be pursuing a career as a stuntman any time soon, though:)
