'Allo, Allo'
Each time I walk past this restaurant I feel as though I'm on the set in the filming of the TV series 'Allo,'Allo and patron René Artois will appear at the door to welcome the jackbooted CaptainHans Geering.
Perhaps it is the French looking net curtains and the shape of the windows that prompts the connection.
It was another glorious day with blue skies as the perfect backdrop for the last colourful autumn leaves clinging to the trees. In the gardens I passed when walking through the quiet neighbourhood of our old castle the clusters of Rowan berries were startlingly red against the sky, while Chrysanthemums and Dahlias were in full bloom and there was even the occasional Clematis Montana flower that had become confused with the season and dared to show its face.
It is hard to realise with the weather here that the snow gates were closed yesterday on the A93 at Spittal of Glenshee, near Braemar where winter has come early.
