Blackheath fireworks
Got up early and went with Tim to test drive a new Fiesta ST. We had a nice, non-pushy salesman (amazing!) and, although their rules meant he had to come with us and I had to sit in the back, we did have a good long test drive down the M20. Tim is very keen, but played it cool and said he still wants to test drive another car elsewhere - but hopefully will be seeing what kind of deal they can do him soon.
Came home, had some lunch, then tidied the flat again. I cooked a saag aloo in the afternoon, then Char came round about 5pm. We had a drink and a chat, then curry for dinner. I ladled some mulled wine into a flask and we all trooped off over to the heath for the fireworks. There were so many geese and swans in the pond this year! They all seemed rather uncertain about it all, but stayed pretty calm and at times even looked as though they were watching the display (although I'm sure they were just keeping a beady eye on what seemed like a potential threat). Many of them will have gone through this on previous years - I feel like the more experienced ones keep the younger ones calm!
Came back to the flat and watched 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, among other things - and ended up staying up until way past midnight. Fun evening though :)
