Pétanque

Today was the first day in weeks I've woken up without agonising back pain.  Hurrah!  When I spoke to my sister yesterday she suggested I try sleeping with an extra pillow.  I thought I'd give it a go, but didn't really expect it to do much - but it's practically cured me.  Do try it at home, kids!

Char and I took Sarah out after work this evening for an early Birthday meal, starting with drinks beforehand at a bar in the basement underneath the restaurant.  We picked both because the bar has a pétanque (French bowls-type game) court.  We only had it booked for half an hour but we had great fun, learned an exciting fact from Sarah, and then had a lovely meal upstairs.  A really lovely evening :)
