Norton cooked Indian food for all of us at his house today and we celebrated the closing down of the office until Jan 5th. Other than when I was sick in July, I haven't taken a day off in about six months, so I'm ready for a nice break. Dad's on a plane right now to come visit for Christmas, so it looks like I'll also get to eat at some of those fancy restaurants I'd otherwise never be able to afford.

This duck always makes me laugh because during one Friday lunch a while ago, when Norton was in a rare downer mood, he started lamenting the fact that it spins its wings in opposite directions, how that felt like the story of his life... then the table got quiet and dramatic, and then we all had a good laugh at the absurdity of it.
