Lanterns

I snapped this as we came back through George Town after an exceptional meal at the Kebaya Dining Room in Penang. This culminated a wonderful couple of days here with L.

This morning, we took the open top bus as far as the Penang National Park, and then took a wee boat out to Monkey Beach and back. On the way out, there wasn't much point being outside as it was extremely wet, but on the way back - especially on the final leg after a Thai lunch at the Tree Monkey - there was plenty of point being outdoors. I think we all went a bit pink from that.

Back to the hotel, L and I took a quick swim, and lazed around with a drink by the pool for a while. Then we set off for an early dinner, so that L could have his before heading off to the airport, to get back to Singapore. One of the best meals I've had in a long time, and the Seven Terraces looks like an excellent place to stay.

This has been a very relaxing stay indeed. Tomorrow we move on too.
