appearances...
... can be deceptive. Looks like a peaceful, quiet beach.
It is in some ways. But, above me was the main Edinburgh <> Aberdeen railway. In front is the flight path for planes landing at Edinburgh Airport (when pointing west). Also in front is the river traffic on the Firth of Forth.
Ok, the latter two don't make a noise and are several miles away, but it's still a busy wee beach.
After a day stuck at my desk, I decided fish & chips by the seaside would be a good move. It was.
Some people watching questions:-
- why do people park their cars by the sea, then sit in them smoking?
- why do folk sit in their parked cars to eat fish & chips, when they could be in the warm evening sun and fresh air?
- if you live in a town with a beach which wins awards for cleanliness, why bring your dogs down there to sh*t on it
- why feed the seagulls the remains of your fish supper, and encourage them to become a nuisance?
More later on why Scottieland is a nation of slobs.
The beach is in Burntisland, Fife. Not my favourite, but it's close.
