A lovely day. Started off at work with an inspiring morning. First patient to be assessed by me for the Implantable Macular Telescope. 60 year old partially sighted. Could only see the top line of the chart half an hour later I got him seeing the bottom line. Just a simulator for now but exciting times ahead when he receives our first implant in January. Tears were shed

After yet more lovely patients left for a cosy bowl of soup at Merryhatton Garden Centre and some Christmas bauble selecting. Stunning afternoon so dumped a car at Yellowcraigs and walked along the beach and into NB for a warming cuppa tea .
Home for curry, Strictly and choclit. Happy day
