Open Day

Open Day at the Caithness Archive Centre.  DH assists a member of the public in reading a court record book from 1669.  Among other items on show were poorhouse registers ("Appears quite healthy & strong and has some drink in"), a hand-drawn map of Thurso, and police charge registers ("Theft of a Turnip", "Furious driving on Main Road").
