From the Torre dei Lamberti

I am glad I climbed to the top of the 84 metres high Torre dei Lamberti for this spectacular view on a rainy day in Verona.

Other Veronese sights today included an anti-trade treaty demo by Trade Unionists in the Piazza Bra; some pleasing reflections on the wet streets; the spectacular interior of the St Anastasia Church; Autumn colour on the banks of the river; the rather odd (I thought) Castelvecchio; and a pleasant cafe, back in Piazza Bra, where I calmed-down after breaking my glasses and fumbling myopically to an opticians to have them fixed.
