Kingfisher(Alcedo atthis)
Fabulous afternoon and you can see why, as I was joined on the waters edge of the mangrove by Kingfisher number two. She really is a beauty and is in absolutely tip- top condition. To identify her as completely different to Kingfisher number one, you can see she has some stray blue/grey feathers on her orange breast, which none of the other Kingfishers actually have(near her shoulder). She showed off her fishing skills but sadly the light was fading and you need really good light and a super fast shutter speed for that kind of activity! Next challenge! Very happy to see this gorgeous bird!
