iDE creates income opportunities and livelihood opportunities for poor rural households (in developing countries).  Tonight Val (British born to Ghanian parents) presented an extremely articulate and compelling look at iDE's program of toilet marketing in northern Ghana - its a shitty business with hugely positive consequences in terms of child and adult health, in terms of fewer lost productive days and in terms of self-esteem.  She was supported by Stu and Val, acting CEO and Communications Director for iDECanada, respectively.
