Sketch..

I had agreed to go out painting with a friend today.. if the weather looked good.  lt did look good at 9 this morning but by the time we met at 2pm the cloud was over this view leaving it looking very dull.. there was a rather lovely set of sun beams to the west so we started out drawing and hoped someone would blow the sunbeams our way and illuminate the hill at some point before we had finished. We got our wish but for about 1.5 minutes total an they moved so fast on the icy wind that the rest had to be left to our imagination.. so here you have my 5 minute sketch with watercolour and ink .. it was a lot of fun but l think it will be our last venture 'out' to paint this year.. my fingers were perishing when l got back into the car!!!
