Redwing
The slightly unusual weather - in particular the lack of wind - has meant that I have managed some ringing today. Unfortunately not many birds around - the last bit of the equation - but a few hours' work caught some birds. The best were undoubtedly a couple of Redwings - thrushes that migrate from the north to spend the balmy winter in the Hebrides.
Apologies for the state of my nails - digging in between checking the nets!
