School disco

Today was the prep to grade 4 disco!!! Maddie handled it in typical Maddie way. Tears the night before!! always a worrier she wanted to know everything that would be occurring and what would happen if she got lost in the dark, and are you sure you are allowed to be at school after hours! and the list went on and on and on... until finally she fell asleep quite exhasted. The next day excitement took over her anxiety as it always does with her and she was up and picking her disco outfit. Maddie was jumping out of her skin, there was going to be pizza, and coloured crazy hair and dancing!!!

I think I then got the case of worries, I ended up going up to see her at 3.30pm to give her some snacks ( my excuse to go up and see of she was ok) she still is my big baby after all. When I got there they were organising the pizza, Maddie came over for a brief hug, and a look like what are you doing here mum said she was well and turelly ok and it was me being a big baby. I drive home and tried to keep myself busy for the 2 hrs. Let me tell you it has hard and time went so slowly... not sure how I will cope when she is a teenager going out I couldn't rest till it was and I was on my way to pick her up!!

I arrived to loud music, flashing lights and excited screams and crazy dance moves!! I peeked inside and everyone was having a balst, including Maddie who was(where else) up on the school stage boogying away with a couple of friends. I waved at her and she came bolting over saying she had a great time, but was ready to go, before it gets to dark she said.
hmmm one disco down and on on Sunday to go!!!!
