In a hurry
Today was a constant reminder for me that my baby is not longer a BABY..I am sad and proud of her. As the youngest she is always trying to grow up to quick. Today at playgroup she told me as we walked to art that she was going to walk there herself, I said ok off you go and lara took off like a bullet... legs going as fast as they could take her all smiles and happy to make her own way there, looking behind to make sure I wasn't too close to her. I was told to wait back until she reached there. I knew that it probably would end badly as just the excitement and how fast she was running and really giggling and looking back at me was not the best combo when stairs the only option to get to art, I heard her before I saw what happened when I got there she had an egg on her little head and the smiley face was replaced by a tear streaked face.
However she recovered enough to enjoy art, they were making father's day gifts with clay and pine cones and bit and pieces lara was really proud of her work, and really enjoyed making wrapping paper with the paint. We swing by and picked Bailee up and Lara wanted to wait outside with a couple of her friends and play another independent gesture. As I look at her I see my baby but she is fighting so hard to grow up and become a little lady even tonight she had taken Miss Maddies folder for school and is saying the words out loud like she has heard Maddie do, I am amazed that she already knows all 12 golden words. To me she will always be my baby as will all my girls... I just wish they would stop being in a hurry to get bigger time really is going to fast for me... Miss Maddie is 6 in 4 days!!!!
