Griffiths Island Lighthouse

Today we arrived in Victoria on the famous Great Oceanview Highway. We stopped at Metro in Mt Gambier for coffee and Portland for lunch where nothing was opened. Just like in the U.S., on Super Bowl Sunday, everyone closes up shop for the Melbourne Cup.

We arrived in Port Fairy to stay overnight. The first thing we did was walk for about one and one half hours (round trip) on Griffiths Island to view the lighthouse. The walk wasn't bad except that it was very windy and about 13 Celcious. We then enjoyed a fine meal at the local Turkish restaurant.
