Field Trip

Port Fairy. We began our day by Walking in the Tower Hill Reserve, the site of a former volcano, and now a lake kept in its natural state. Our self-guided tour was enhanced by closely following a class of 2nd graders. We were in search of Koala bears (in the trees) and kangaroos and emus (in the brush). We saw the bear, but no Roos or emus.

We also visited some Craigy cliffs along the angry South Pacific Ocean.

We enjoyed sharing some bubbly with our hosts (he's a Kiwi and she an Aussie) and newly arrived guests from Quebec. He is from England, while she is a French Canadian.

We have now been in Australia for almost two weeks and have yet to meet an American.
