Monday: The Halloween Owl

I was up early to fly to Ottawa where I have a day of meetings tomorrow. The flight was about 4 1/2 hours and I have jumped three time zones.

This evening I went over to my former boss' house - we worked together in Zagreb and he now lives in Ottawa. This is his little girl, Sophie, before she went trick or treating with her mum. The whole evening was punctuated by the doorbell ringing.

I have been reading but have forgotten to share. I finished Jonathan Franzen's 'Freedom' on the flight today. It was masterfully written - his knack for dialogue is just incredible.
