The golden wood
We returned to Kilmun Arboretum today, for the first time in ages - we've been put off by several unpleasant meetings with rampaging dogs and ineffectual owners - and found ourselves alone in a golden wood. This section of the road beyond the arboretum goes through larches, which are pale and delicate after the dry autumn and whose needles pave the track with their gold.
It was a toss-up which of the two photos I took made it to this blip, so I beg you to take a look at my extra photo, which looks down through the Arboretum to the Holy Loch beyond.
