Rye Ridge Deli

This is a display on the the wall of the Rye Ridge Delicatessen, an excellent  restaurant in traditional New York deli style.  It's in Stamford, Connecticut, just off the Merrit Parkway, on our route to and from the city.  Today we stopped for lunch for the umpteenth time,  returning to Northampton.  Our generously stuffed sandwiches were as delicious as always--sliced turkey for Marylee and chopped liver for me. 

We encountered heavy rain on our drive, for over an hour, but as I feared it has mainly fallen along the coast--we seem to have gotten barely a trace, and it is already moving away.  The drought continues.
