The Local Tavern
I liked that you could see the smoke rising from the chimney. It wasn't too cold today, but a nip in the air at 50F. The rain of the past couple of days has made a difference in the river as Myles and I walked along the trail. Had to show his joy (in extras), ears up and running back and forth - he does 3 times the walk that I do with all his back tracking.
The other extra is the preparation for Halloween at one family's house. In this little rural town Halloween is almost as big as 4th of July. So few developments and the houses are spaced pretty far apart, most of the Trick or Treaters head to the village and it's quite a scene. The residents there get candy donations from the townspeople via the library and they just sit outside and hand out candy. I'll be headed down there just to take in the atmosphere.
