Diary of an Edinburgher

Hospital Day Three

A much better night last night. I slept most of it, woke up and got a painkiller as soon as I asked for it. Which was a nice change. Though I'm still nauseous, only managing a slice of chewy toast for breakfast. Couldn't touch today's meal, which looks rather like yesterday's, but it's chicken. No pudding. I'm awaiting tea, so will report back if there's a sudden improvement.

I did manage to totter on my zimmer to the toilet without tipping over, so that's a bonus.

Listened to a bit of Val McDermid - 'The Anatomy of a Crime'. Very interesting. Well, I only heard the first five minutes, (dozed off) but I'm sure the next 25 minutes were equally absorbing.

JR visited with Archie news. They went up hill, then when Archie was out in the back garden, he was staring at something on the lawn. It was a dead bird. He wasn't touching it. JR thought he looked sad.
