Today I visited the 'North Lands Creative Glass' exhibition in the Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh.   As usual there are some strange exhibits but also some very good works.  I especially liked ‘Blackbirds’ by Denis Mann who works in Caithness in the north of Scotland.  Among his many works he designed all of the very elaborate ‘Mastermind’ trophies so this is quite different and is described as a ‘Fused, slumped engraved glass panel.’  Unfortunately the photo doesn't do this justice due to reflections and shadows.

Hopefully I will get back to looking at most of the blips now that I’m back home. It has been a busy time recently hosting visitors and then sad visits to hospital and the care home but happy times celebrating a family wedding and seeing most of the close relatives apart from our older daughter.
