I am desperately trying to find something to blip. It should have been somewhere from our holiday but instead the first day has been spent overcoming innumerable problems with travel. After sitting on the plane yesterday for over two and three quarter hours before it eventually took off we missed our connection at Gatwick. Unfortunately the next flight is not till Wednesday evening so had to change airlines which was fraught with difficulties. So today we had to get the bus to Heathrow (massive traffic jam) and are now awaiting a flight to Paris before our onward travel just before midnight. Fortunately the tour company or airline will foot the bill. So we will be 27 hours late. We have had a catalogue of difficulties and spent hours at Edinburgh, Gatwick, Heathrow and soon at Paris airports but hopefully tomorrow evening we can relax by a sunny beach.
