Cramond Island and Causeway

Now with 2 of stressful issues dealt with, I can start to relax a bit. Another day off work, but it didn't seem right to go off for a bike ride in the morning. Pretty cold for a start. So put some of the pile of cardboard boxes that seem to accumulate by themselves in to the recycling bin.

After lunch, while still cold, it was a lot more bearable. Even though it was 6 deg C, real feel was a lot more. As I am having to work from home as engineer is coming around to fix dishwasher, I need to get my laptop from work.

So I cycled down to Cramond with the intent of getting my blip of the day. It was really a lovely autumn day. Blue skies. The cycle path was a little slippery in places die to wet autumn leaves. At Silverknowes, I head down to the Promenade and take the last bit along the coast.

When I got there, the tide looks as though it is rising, so no trip to the island today. Must make a note to revisit when the tide is on the way out.

I then went up to Cramond Kirk, Extra photo. There is a small Art Gallery there which I didn't have time to visit. I did a quick circuit around the Kirkyard, then I cycled down to the office to collect my laptop. People were a little surprised to see me, but I wasn't there to really chat, just grab and run.

Nice ride home from there pre rush hour traffic. The cloud was just coming in as I got home, End of the blue sky for today. Great to be able to sit down with a cup of coffee and not worry about work.
