Lucky Archie
Annemique took Archie out this morning. And what a perfect autumn day it was too - no wind, no clouds, bright blue skies, wall to wall autumn colours. They had a great walk up Blackford Hill, then Archie helped with A's studying back at her flat.
We went out for lunch with Rufus, Bailey and their mums. The dogs missed Archie - we all did - but with cocktails and a delicious lunch, we soon forgot about him. After all, he was having a better time than sitting under the table waiting for us to finish.
Back home, then off to my last physio session. Naomi was impressed with my 'Moët knee exercises'. A bit of painful massage, kneecap manipulation and weights on my leg, and Naomi declared that I had a few more degrees movement. She'll see me in a month, to monitor the next one (and the first one) which I'm glad about.
A new borrower, Kirsten, came round to meet Archie this evening. Two of his borrowers are not able to take him out during the week now, so we have room for another regular. She's going to come and take him for the afternoon tomorrow.
Talking about tomorrow, it's Operation D Day. But I hope by this time tomorrow I'll be tucking in to a nice hospital meal. I am in the process of downloading a couple of box sets on to my iPad, so I definitely won't be bored.
Uncomfortable, but not bored.
