Hermitage of Braid

Day off work today. Spent the morning doing some household chores as the weather's not very good.

After lunch, as I have a hospital appointment, I decide to walk to Cameron Toll. This means walking though the Hermitage of Braid as its autumn. The warm September we had means that many of the trees are still green.

The visitor centre, main blip, does have one tree that can be clearly seen with its autumn colours.

I carry on along the path heading east. There are plenty of people enjoying the park, quite a few with dogs, some with kids (last day of half term in Edinburgh) and a couple with dogs and kids. Further on, just before the tree canopy clears, is a view of the Scout Bridge, extra. The trees around the Scout Bridge have more yellow and green. The are glimpses if beech trees higher up that have that rich copper colour. I would love to explore some more, but I have a coffee to get before my appointment, and I never like being late.
