Colour Studies....

It's been a good day .... despite a rather disturbed nights sleep...poor Terry has had a terrible cold for the past 3-4 days...i don't think i've seen him in such a poorly way!!! 

Did a 25 minute swim, followed by a delicious hot tub....groceries, wine etc., got.....and then home again to get myself back into the painting grove!  It's been awhile since i gave over an afternoon to exploring....and not feeling too tired to do it.   Seems that the B12 supplements i'm taking are having an effect...either that or it's just a really good placebo!!!  Had blood tests done this morning too, just to see if my B12 levels have improved since taking the supplement for the past month!!!

I find it easier to enter into the creative zone by starting off with some colour studies!!!   This was actually the first one i did...the extra is the last one...i only did 3....but it has helped me get things moving. These are about 5" x 8", so quite small.  I find working on smaller pieces actually harder....i love a big space to paint.  so these may well be transformed into larger paintings!  For the next few days i can paint in the morning and tackle the production list in the afternoon.   This would be the best balance throughout the summer but can't see that happening any time soon!!!
