Carving the Trumpkin
Most of the day was spent preparing for a somewhat early Halloween party. The farm shop pumpkin proved resistant to all kitchen and Stanley knives, so Alex had to resort to the electric drill on masonry setting. Its long orange face and moaning mouth meant that it was soon christened 'The Trumpkin'.
It was an interesting and highly educated set of party-goers garnered from all corners of the UK - Somerset, Kent, Yorkshire, Cambridge, London and Newcastle. They ate and drank prodigiously and all seemed to have a very merry time!
